Project Connect was honored with the “Achievement in Education or Training Award” in this year’s event of Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards on December 2nd. The Award honors organizations contributing to academic and professional training aiming to sustain the Greek maritime industry. In her acceptance speech Ms. Notias, thanked the Project Connect members and team, those who saw the value of Project Connect and emphasized the teachers in Greece and Captains of Greek ship owned vessels who have brought life to an educational program about shipping; she invited all teachers, captains and shipowners to share with Project Connect the vision to maintain and magnify the reputation of Greek shipping, which has already reached all corners of the world.

We are happy our work to bridge the gap between shipping students and shipping educational institutions via our Online CV Platform and Work-Study Programs, and our work to raise awareness of shipping industry via the Adopt a Ship Program in Greece has been recognized and acknowledged. This award goes to all of our members, contributors, captains, teachers and students who have contributed to our mission practically and with their expertise and especially those who did it voluntarily.
