Good day,

With the present letter I welcome you on board car carrier Neptune Galene, which is one of the newest vessels of Neptune Lines flying under Greek Flag and caries new cars in North West Europe among Spain (Santander) – Belgium (Zeebrugge) – France (Le Havre) - England (Portbury).
The ships carrying capacity is 3066 cars and its crew consists of 25 crew members, 6 Greeks and 19 Ukrainians and all together we make a family.
The official language on board is English.
The ships present position is Blue Anchor Bay in England, near Bristol/Portbury and our destination is Santander (Spain).

As for the life on board the ship, it can be divided in two periods, at sea and at port and like all over the world we are also affected by the novel Corona-virus. At sea, all hygiene rules are followed at individual and public level. We check our temperatures and oxygen levels daily as well as self-tests in certain time intervals. Also, we have meticulous checks on ventilation, in food preparation procedures and in water supplies.
At port, loading and discharging operation is carried out while crews wears all the necessary protective equipment (masks-gloves) and maintain social distances from other people that board the ship in order to carry out this operation. In addition, company has suspended the crew shore leave from the vessel in order to prevent exposure to the virus.
Life on board the ship is by nature lonely and all these circumstances makes it even lonelier but above all is our health.

Thus, we work as a team for the good of our families and our company, which is our second family.
