Dr. Adamantia K. Spanaka, is a Tutor-Counselor at Hellenic Open University (HOU) and a Scientific Associate at University of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE) of Athens. She received a BA degree in Philosophy & Social Sciences and a M.Ed. in Educational Technology from University of Crete, Greece. After accomplishing PhD studies in Educational Technology, she conducted Postdoctoral studies at Hellenic Open University in the field of polymorphic distance learning material, both with a full scholarship from State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.). Her research interests includes: Open and Distance Learning, Educational Technology, Adult Education, Research Methodology, Curriculum Development, Maritime Education and Training, MOOC design and development. She has been participating as a researcher in many European projects concerning different fields of open and distance learning, training across all educational sectors and providing training outline and guidelines.
